Direct Deposit &
Payroll Deduction

CSE offers members direct deposit. This is the safest, quickest and most convenient way to have your paycheck deposited to your checking or share account. Save time and avoid lines at your local branch by signing up for direct deposit.

In addition to direct deposit, payroll deduction is available to current and retired Connecticut State employees. Payroll deduction allows you to have a portion of your paycheck allocated to different CSE accounts such as checking, club accounts, IRAs and loans.

Connecticut State Employees

State employees sign up for direct deposit through their Payroll Clerk. For payroll deduction, state employees can complete a Payroll Deduction Form and return to any CSE branch.

Retired State Employees

State retirees sign up for direct deposit through the Retirement Division. For payroll deduction, retirees can complete a Payroll Deduction Form and return to any CSE branch.

Private Companies

Employees of private companies can contact their employer’s payroll or human resources department to initiate direct deposit. The payroll or human resources department will likely require the individual account number and CSE's routing number, 211977197. Employees may also complete a Direct Deposit Form and return to their employer. Payroll deduction, as defined above, is not available to employees of private companies.
