CSE is pleased to introduce DebitPass – a new product now available to all CSE members. The DebitPass card is a prepaid MasterCard debit card. You transfer money onto the DebitPass card and can then use the card wherever MasterCard is accepted. The card is reloadable; you can deposit money onto it over and over again. It is also safer than using traditional debit cards because it is not linked to your entire share or share draft account. The DebitPass is a great resource for parents of college students. Your college student has the privilege of carrying a card, which offers a sense of financial independence. You retain control of the finances because you determine the amount to load onto the card and can then monitor the spending habits via the internet.
There are a number of additional ways that DebitPass may be of value to you. Use it for travel in place of traveler’s checks. Use it for internet shopping when you want to make purchases without using Credit or putting other funds at risk. Or simply use it to segregate money from other household funds.
